Elboron was the son of Faramir and Éowyn, grandson of Denethor, Théodwyn and Éomund, nephew of Boromir, and cousin of Elfwine.

Elboron was born during the Fourth Age to Éowyn, daughter of Éomund, and Faramir, son of Denethor.
He succeeded his father as Prince of Ithilien, Prince of Ithilien, Lord of Emyn Arnen, and served as Steward of Gondor to Aragorn and Eldarion
